What is TCP/IP Hijacking?
By Jamie Pearson
TCP/IP is when the hacker takes control of the user’s computer when they are communicating in legitimate conversation between the server and the client on a network. They can do this by using the original authentication code and login details and they might do this by shoulder surfing or if the last user has forgotten to log off. Another way is that a hijacker can access a computer can be acting remotely.
When a hijacker accesses a computer system in this way then they can breach someone’s personal information like banking details and login accounts. Also they are able to put viruses on systems, denial to service and spamming using this method.
